"Local men in the past were unique…he works on all different techniques. Sailor, hunter, agriculture in terms of palm trees. He takes care of palm trees, he takes the leaves to make Sabla, Areesh, winter tent. Areesh is for the summer months, it brings in wind…the winter tent is closed. So in those 60 days, he benefits from it and brings in the dates to the area where he will stay during winter."
